Icelandic Horses & Sheep, and Art too….
Mic regularly instructs at weekend workshops at various venues in the UK. She focuses on increasing rider confidence, working on the gaits and improving the partnership between horse and rider. All venues have camping options for horses and riders, some offer indoor accommodation, others have nearby b&bs etc.
Mic may work with you on the oval track (if one is available at the venue), in an arena, in a dry field, or on an oval track laid out on grass or in the arena.
She uses techniques gathered over many years riding and training Icelandic horses at all levels, and may include drill riding, pole work and ground work as well as “normal” lessons. Most weekend workshops have two lessons per day for each participants, with each rider having at least one individual lesson. We may also have a small have-a-go show if you are interested in competing. In a have-a-go show, you ride your chosen test, then Mic will give you your mark and some (hopefully!) helpful criticism and advice to help you and your horse improve.
